In 1950, in the post-war Sverdlovsk, now it is Ekaterinburg, there was a great shortage of school buildings. In Oktyabrsky district it was decided to build a school №110, now it is the Lyceum named after Lydia Konstantinovna Grishina.
Everybody looked forward to the end of the construction. And in October of 1951 the school was put into operation. The building was large and spacious.
For 65 years, the school was managed by 7 Directors. Today's Director – Irina Vinogradova-twice received the award «Director of the year". Today, more than 10 our teachers are Honorary workers of education of Russia, two are Honored teachers.
Russian pupils study for 9 or 11 years. Our students are from 6 to 18 aged.
There are 1208 pupils in our school and it is pretty normal, however we study in two shifts. We also have a division into different profiles,
for example, there is a class that has an increased number of
mathematics and physics or biology and chemistry, and so on.
